Beijing, China – September 6, 2023 – Semiconductor startup xMEMS Labs today announced the launch of the two-day xMEMS Live – China 2023 seminar, designed to showcase the company’s continued support for Chinese consumer technology and audio brands through product demonstrations, keynote speeches and in-depth technical talks . The seminar will be held on September 18 at the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel and on September 20 at the Westin Shenzhen Yitian Hotel.

The announcement comes as xMEMS accelerates its global expansion to provide its growing customer base with advanced solid-state MEMS speakers for integration into true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones, in-ear monitors (IEMs), hearing aids and other personal audio devices. The seminar will feature xMEMS executives and engineering leaders who will present best practices for achieving end-product design success using xMEMS' breakthrough solid-state fidelity solutions.

“xMEMS is reinventing the way people experience sound with the world’s only all-silicon monolithic MEMS microspeaker for personal audio products,” said Mike Housholder, VP of Marketing and Business Development at xMEMS. “As we continue to scale, the Chinese market presents tremendous growth opportunities for us with its dynamic technology ecosystem and strong audio manufacturing base. xMEMS Live – China 2023 is an extraordinary way to engage with the brightest minds in this robust market to fully capitalize on our growth potential and solidify xMEMS’ position as the global leader in silicon-based MEMS speaker technology.”

xMEMS' patented silicon-based speaker technology will replace the century-old dynamic speaker, allowing solid-state speakers to be mass-produced in high volumes and reliably using semiconductor manufacturing methods and producing more precise, higher-fidelity, high-resolution audio.

Unlike traditional coil speakers, xMEMS speakers use a monolithic silicon diaphragm with 95 times greater material stiffness , which improves clarity and eliminates the muddy mid- and high-frequency response produced by traditional speaker diaphragm materials.

Silicon architecture's impulse response is 150 times faster than traditional speakers , enabling the most realistic impulse response and accurate sound reproduction that cannot be achieved with the slow attack and decay of coil architectures.

Following its first product collaboration with Singapore-based TWS headset manufacturer Creative Technologies, xMEMS will continue to accelerate customer momentum in key global markets, with new customer products expected to be released later this year.

“As manufacturers seek to differentiate themselves in the market and streamline production efforts, xMEMS is uniquely positioned to deliver superior sound quality, comfort and style to consumers, while our customers benefit from the inherent efficiencies unlocked by a world-first solid-state semiconductor manufacturing process that delivers better sounding speakers with greater production efficiency and product consistency,” concluded Mike Housholder.
