Diodes Incorporated’s Adjustable Linear ReDrivers Enable Higher Signal Integrity on High-Speed DisplayPort 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 Interfaces
Plano, Texas, USA, August 5, 2021 - Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD) has introduced two new 3.3V multi-channel active demultiplexers to further enhance its diverse linear ReDriver™ IC product family. As mobile workstations, gaming computers and display adapters increasingly place an emphasis on graphics capabilities, advanced ReDrivers devices can meet demultiplexing requirements while also fully complying with the latest industrial computers and embedded systems.
The four-channel PI3DPX8112 supports 13.5Gbps transmission rate for DisplayPort™ 2.0 (it also supports earlier versions of the communication protocol). In addition to supporting four channels, the PI3HDX12212 also has 12Gbps performance and can support HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.2, and HDMI 1.4 transmission modes.
Both PI3HDX12212 and PI3DPX8112 ReDrivers feature an 8-band adjustable receive equalizer on both output pins, in addition to 4 output flat gain and output amplitude parameter settings. By setting parameters, the signal integrity requirements can be adjusted according to the specific application. Compensate for channel loss and eliminate intersymbol interference (ISI) to extend channel range. Devices can accept lower supply voltages than competitive products. Protocol-agnostic devices have channel link training transparency and ultra-low latency operation.
Both the PI3DPX8112 and PI3HDX12212 are available in 32-pin TQFN packages (3mm x 6mm), making them ideal for space-constrained environments. Both devices support an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
