  Figure 1 shows three integrated operational amplifier output current expansion circuits , Figure (a) is a bipolar expansion circuit; Figure (b) and Figure (c) are unipolar expansion circuits.

The role of diodes D1 and D2 is to provide appropriate bias voltages to the BG1 and BG2 tubes to eliminate crossover distortion.
