The MAX31722/MAX31723 digital thermometers and a SPI™/3-wire interface thermostat provide a temperature reading that indicates the temperature of the device. No additional components are required; the devices are true temperature-to-digital converters. Temperature readings are communicated from the device via an SPI interface or a 3-wire serial interface. The choice of interface is user selectable. For those requiring higher temperature resolution, the user can adjust the reading resolution from 9 to 12 bits. The thermostat has a dedicated open-drain output (active low). Two thermostat operating modes, compare and interrupt, are based on the thermostat operating on user-defined nonvolatile trip points. Both devices have a 1.7V to 3.7V power rail

The MAX31723 thermometer has an accuracy of ± 0.5°C

Thermostat output with user-defined nonvolatile thresholds

Data read/write via SPI (mode 0 and 2) or 3-wire serial interface

1.7V to 3.7V supply voltage range
