On April 24, China UnionPay signed a strategic cooperation agreement with mobile browser provider UC Browser to launch the UnionPay mobile secure payment solution based on UC Browser. This means that mobile phone users can use UnionPay credit or debit cards to complete mobile payments directly in UC Browser, and the process is as simple and easy to use as PC payment.
It is understood that, as the penetration rate of mobile phones in China is much higher than that of PCs, and the penetration rate of UnionPay cards is also much higher than that of other online payment accounts, mobile payment has become a new way of consumption. The national mobile payment solution launched this time covers the vast majority of domestic mobile Internet users. Mobile phone users do not need a third-party payment account, or even need to open online banking or mobile banking. They can make mobile payments by simply entering the UnionPay card number and password.
Regarding the security issue that users are most concerned about, Liang Jie, president of UC Youshi Technology, said: In terms of website security, there are UC cloud security services and malicious website/software identification functions; in terms of terminal security, there are security plug-in key secondary encryption and anti-Trojan interception; during the transmission process, bank-level encryption channels are used; in terms of server security, the UnionPay payment plug-in is directly connected to the bank server. It is reported that the mobile payment solution has passed 11 tests of the National Bank Card Testing Center.
