In my impression, video surveillance is always associated with wires and monitors. Among the numerous manufacturers in IIC, a solution provider that claims to achieve video surveillance without wiring has attracted my attention.

The company uses an intelligent terminal design based on the Chinese original 16-bit MCU chip KT8818, which can achieve remote monitoring via Ethernet and is simple to install and easy to use.

The decoding chip of KT8818 is independently developed by Shenzhen Jiantuo Technology Co., Ltd. This chip optimizes the main functions of the PC motherboard and can realize the Chinese character information terminal with only a small amount of external memory. It has been applied to bank Chinese character terminals, digital language learning system student machines, home intelligent information terminals and tax control cash registers. At the same time, it can also be used in ID card terminals, PDAs, network computers and other occasions that require a large number of Chinese characters to be displayed.

Jiao Jian, the company's executive director, said: "Our KT8818 decoding chip supports hardware AVS video decoding, with a fast decoding speed of less than 20 milliseconds and low power consumption of less than 800 milliwatts. With the continuous development of 3G networks, I am very optimistic about our market prospects."

Also launched at the same time was the encoding chip - KT8828.
