Speakers occupy the most important position in the sound system, which is recognized by everyone. Because it is the last gateway for music restoration, that is, the audio signal is finally restored to sound by the speaker (speaker); it is conceivable that the quality of the speaker (including sound quality, efficiency, balance, and timbre) is crucial to the entire sound system.
Amateur DIY speakers are the most affordable and the most likely to succeed. Many people say that it is impossible to succeed in DIY speakers under amateur conditions, but I think it is different now. For example, there are many speakers and frequency division components with excellent performance to choose from, and there are technical help from network experts, etc.; in the sound system, speakers involve the least electronic knowledge, and enthusiasts can basically master the method of DIY speakers through short-term learning. Of course, it is not easy to do it well. The idea must be correct, and the key is the accumulation of experience.

1) Two-unit two-way: This is the most common and classic system. Its advantage is that the frequency division network is (relatively) simple and the box is easier to make. The production of this system must first pay attention to the selection of speakers and the matching of tweeters and mid-bass.
2) Three-unit two-way: It is actually an expansion of the previous system, that is, adding a similar mid-bass unit (there are two methods of parallel and series connection) to enhance the low-frequency response of the system; therefore, there is only one frequency division point, but the box has many variations.
3) Three-unit 2.5-way crossover: It is also an expansion based on the first type of system, that is, adding a subwoofer. Although there are two crossover points, the subwoofer (passive) crossover network is extremely simple, so it is not too difficult.
At present, almost all DIY kits are no more than these three modes, which is for the convenience of amateur DIY enthusiasts; and these three types of finished boxes on the market also account for the vast majority, which shows that manufacturers also try to pick simple jobs, so that the success rate is high! Secondly, we should fully consider the effective connection between the tweeter and the mid-bass unit. For example, the upper limit of the ordinary mid-bass unit is only about 5KHZ, and the lower limit of the treble is only about 3KHZ. This is still the manufacturer's information. It is difficult to say the actual situation, and it is even more difficult to guarantee for the miscellaneous brands. Therefore, it can be seen that the crossover point has only a selection range of 3KHZ-5KHZ, while the upper limit of the fever mid-bass unit is 7K--8KHZ and the lower limit of the treble unit is 1K--2KHZ, so it is best to have one of the mid-bass and tweeter units be a fever unit. (Take 6.5 inches as an example)
It is extremely undesirable to buy two high and low bass units on the street, and then make the crossover and box by yourself according to a certain book. Such units have no parameters and quality guarantees. You must buy old factory brand units; it is best to buy a kit, which has a high success rate. The profit of about 100 yuan must be given to the merchant. But you must not buy high-priced kits, such as Swans. It is not good and it costs money!
