Medtec China 2022 and the 17th International Medical Device Design and Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, hosted by Informa Markets and originally scheduled to be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from August 31 to September 2, announced a new date and venue. It will be moved to Hall B1-E1 on the 1st floor of Suzhou International Expo Center from December 7 to 9, 2022.

The High-tech Zone has also gathered a number of professional scientific research institutes and platforms, such as the Suzhou Institute of Medical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Suzhou Institute of Medical Devices of Southeast University, the Suzhou Institute of Collaborative Innovation of Medical Robotics, and the Guoqian Medical Technology Innovation Institute, laying the foundation for industry-university-research cooperation and enabling the industry to improve quality and efficiency[2]. In addition, Suzhou has also attracted a large number of foreign-funded enterprises from the Fortune 500 involved in medical device manufacturing to invest and start businesses: Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Philips, DuPont, Baxter, Thermo Fisher, Asahi Kasei, Hitachi, Saint-Gobain, Siemens, Fresenius, etc.[3] .
