Shanghai, China - September 12, 2024 - Yesterday, one of the world's three major sensor exhibitions, the China (Shanghai) International Sensor Technology and Application Exhibition (Sensor China) opened at the Shanghai International Procurement Exhibition Center. More than 600 sensor industry companies from more than 20 countries and regions around the world gathered together to discuss business opportunities. TE Connectivity (hereinafter referred to as "TE"), a global industry technology leader in connectivity and sensing, exhibited innovative products and solutions in the fields of transportation, medical and industry, and shared its views on topics such as the global competitive landscape, trends and challenges of the sensor industry at the China Sensor Industry High-Quality Development Summit Forum.

Focusing on power and safety, enabling smart transportation
The automotive industry is rapidly advancing the development of intelligence and electrification, and there is a high demand for innovative sensing solutions. TE has insight into industry trends, focuses on the fields of power and safety, continuously improves the sensing speed and refresh frequency, and creates "miniaturized, low-power, high-precision, multi-dimensional, integrated" sensing solutions, empowering smart travel and transportation with more forward-looking perception, and helping to make the driving experience more powerful, safer, and more comfortable.
At this exhibition, TE focused on displaying its technological achievements in the field of automotive safety - a "full set of sensor solutions for brake-by-wire" including brake-by-wire pressure sensors, position travel sensors, and motor angle position sensors, and interpreted the sensor technology and solutions for the brake-by-wire chassis at the Automotive Perception Technology and Solutions Innovation Forum.
Among the exhibits, TE HPS brake high-pressure sensor has attracted much attention. This sensor can be used in ABS (anti-lock braking system), ESC (electronic stability control system) and intelligent integrated braking system. It adopts glass micro-melting strain gauge technology, has high pressure resistance and high burst pressure performance, and has both high range and high overload capacity to ensure reliable measurement under harsh conditions. Its built-in SENT bus interface provides fast and accurate data transmission capabilities, which can help the braking system respond to emergencies more intelligently and enhance active safety features. In addition, the diameter of the HPS brake high-pressure sensor is only 7.8mm. Such a small size is not only easy to install, but also provides more flexible adjustment space with a more compact design. Its safety standard up to ASIL C (D) level also provides further safety protection.
New high-precision sensing to help smart healthcare
With the continuous deepening of smart medical applications, new medical sensors are experiencing explosive growth. At this exhibition, TE exhibited a high-precision sensor developed specifically for minimally invasive surgery - the calibrated IntraSense micro pressure sensor. This product has been upgraded on the basis of the "IntraSense micro invasive pressure sensor". It not only has the advantages of miniaturization, high precision, biocompatibility and anti-photosensitivity, but also adds the feature of pre-calibration assembly to improve reliability.
The sensor can be seamlessly integrated into various minimally invasive surgical devices, providing real-time pressure feedback. It can be adapted to catheters as small as 1FR (1/3 mm in diameter), making it possible to develop smaller, lighter, and more ergonomic devices. Enhanced navigation capabilities also help reduce the risk of injury. In addition, the calibrated IntraSense miniature pressure sensor is fully packaged, making the device easy to integrate; after pre-calibration and assembly, it can provide a clinically effective range of -300mmHg to +500mmHg (460mmHg to 1260mmHg absolute value) and 10°C to 60°C, providing accurate and stable pressure monitoring for emergency surgery, and the typical drift value over the entire life cycle is less than 2 mmHg. The output of the product is stable in 37°C liquid, and each component is calibrated and tested in deionized water. These devices come with a PCB with a 5-pin right-angle connector, which can provide fully temperature-compensated digital and analog amplified outputs. This revolutionary sensor product helps medical staff make accurate and informed clinical treatment decisions. By integrating with digital technologies (such as 3D visualization technology) and the Internet of Things, it can also provide support for precise diagnosis and treatment and remote monitoring.
Highly reliable industrial solutions to accelerate smart energy applications
Sensors are playing an increasingly critical role in the intelligent upgrading of the energy industry, providing strong support for the safety, stability and intelligence of energy systems. Real-time monitoring and data collection, fault diagnosis and prevention, energy utilization optimization... The market demand for high-precision and high-reliability sensors is increasing, and sensor technology is developing in the direction of wireless sensing, multi-functional integration, intelligent analysis and edge computing.
At this exhibition, TE and Avnet, the world's leading electronic component distributor and technology solution provider, jointly exhibited the overall industrial Internet of Things solution including wireless pressure sensing, wireless vibration sensing, wireless humidity sensing and wireless temperature sensing, which can adapt to the needs of various application scenarios . For example, on large-scale equipment in the oil and gas industry, wireless vibration sensor solutions are used in compressor and pump systems to assist in fault diagnosis and equipment health monitoring to reduce business interruptions and costly downtime.
This year's Sensor China will last until September 13. The TE booth is located at booth B013 of the Shanghai International Procurement Exhibition Center, covering an area of 72 square meters.
