Advantech recently released two members of the AIW-200 series - AIW-210 and AIW-211. These advanced GNSS wireless modules have an industrial-grade wide-temperature design and can operate in harsh environments. In fact, these GNSS modules leverage Advantech Industrial Wireless (AIW) support, as well as accurate positioning capabilities and reliable timing signals to provide navigation capabilities for long-distance truck transportation, fleet management, and cold chain logistics, while being implemented in agricultural drones and heavy equipment.
Ultra-stable and reliable instrument-grade GNSS positioning
AIW-210/211 are standalone GNSS modules that utilize the u-blox NEO-M9N chipset to support 92 channels of meter-level GNSS positioning. These modules can simultaneously acquire and track multiple satellites - including GPS, QZSS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and SBAS, providing maximum position availability through multiple groups of satellites. Utilizing different satellites enables the receiver to select the best signal, maximizing the positioning accuracy of the solution when used in challenging conditions. In addition, support for satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS) - such as WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS - improves accuracy and availability.
Diverse and flexible multi-form factor designs
AIW-211 is a stamp type module with GNSS built into the platform to accommodate use in small devices such as drones and AGVs. AIW-211 supports industrial-grade operating temperatures (-40 ~ 85 °C) and advanced shock and vibration protection. In addition, it has full CE-RED certification, which can reduce time to market when integrated into various land, air and sea applications. AIW-210 is an M.2 2242 B-key form factor, providing connection types that support numerous platforms. Similarly, its M.2 type connection and USB 2.0 functionality produce plug-and-play capabilities, making it easy for customers to integrate and use.
