1. Introduction
"Western Development" is a slogan put forward by the country in recent years. Compared with other regions, the current information construction and related information equipment management construction in the western region still lags behind other regions, and the unstable power supply environment in the region has caused hidden dangers to the key information security of many industries. As a model enterprise of "promoting development through innovation" in the local area, with the rapid development of business volume, Sichuan Petroleum Administration Bureau has increased the transformation of basic equipment in recent years, hoping to further improve the service level through transformation. The transformation of the communication center room is an important transformation project carried out recently.
2. Overview of user needs
⑴ A certain computer room is powered by a 60KVA UPS "1+1" redundant parallel power supply. With the rapid growth of business volume and the high attention paid to the data room, the capacity of the original dual-machine redundant power supply system can no longer meet the demand of existing equipment, and a new 60KVA UPS 2-unit parallel redundant power supply system is required.
⑵ The electrical equipment in the computer room is divided into single power load and dual power load according to the input power mode. The power supply scheme of the original system is shown in Figure 1.

Since the original system was planned and constructed in the early stage, the power supply of all power load input ends uses two 60KVA UPS parallel output power supplies. It is required to add a new UPS system and the original system to form a double bus optimization solution to provide safe and reliable power protection for the original equipment and new equipment.
⑶ Requirements for UPS power supply host:
① The UPS adopts a double-conversion pure online architecture design, and the output is equipped with an isolation transformer;
② UPS has a wide input voltage range;
③ Since the failure rate of batteries in UPS systems is the highest, the UPS host is required to adopt advanced intelligent battery management solutions to extend the battery life and detect potential battery failures in advance;
④ The UPS host should have a remote emergency shutdown function. When an emergency such as an earthquake or fire occurs, the UPS can be quickly shut down through the remote emergency shutdown (EPO) function.
3. Solution
3.1 According to the user's demand for UPS power supply (1), Delta provides two sets of GES-NT60KVA UPS, "1+1" redundant power supply. Delta NT60KVA UPS can support up to 8 UPS directly connected in parallel, and can be connected online, so that the UPS power supply can be expanded conveniently and easily when the load is expanded.
3.2 According to the needs raised by users⑵, a new UPS power system is added to the original system to form a "2+2" dual-bus architecture to optimize the power supply plan. The system diagram of the UPS power supply plan after rectification is shown in Figure 2.

The advantages of this solution are: providing high-reliability power supply guarantee for dual-power loads; overcoming the single-point failure phenomenon of LBS synchronous controller and STS in the traditional dual-bus structure, improving the reliability and availability of the system; powerful system redundancy function; convenient and easy system expansion; and providing the highest reliability dual-machine redundant power supply system for single-power loads.
Delta's NT series UPS has a built-in synchronous controller (LBS) function, which is a built-in synchronous control circuit specially designed for users' electrical equipment with dual power loads and a dual-bus system solution. It introduces a dual-bus system that does not require an external synchronous control module. The technology is more advanced and greatly improves system reliability.
3.3 Based on the user's needs and functional requirements for the UPS power supply host, Zhongda uses Delta NT60KVA UPS. Delta NT series UPS has the following advanced design functions.
⑴ Double conversion online design with output isolation transformer
To protect the power supply quality of the user's precision equipment, the AC power and battery power are switched in 0ms. The load end can completely filter out the noise of the input AC power, providing the user's load end with pure and reliable sine wave power, which can extend the service life of the load electrical equipment.
The output has an isolation transformer design, so that the three-phase load can still meet the normal power supply of each phase load under completely unbalanced conditions, making the UPS most adaptable to loads of different natures.
⑵ Wide input voltage range to extend battery life
Under full load, the input voltage range is wide (-32% to +35%), which is suitable for use in most areas with harsh power supply environments, reducing battery discharge times and losses and extending battery life.
⑶ Advanced battery intelligent management function
Delta's NT series UPS has a superior and advanced battery intelligent management solution, which can extend the service life of the batteries used in the NT series UPS.
① Equipped with automatic temperature compensation design for battery charging
Delta's NT series UPS has a unique option to achieve temperature compensation function, and the temperature detector is placed in the battery box instead of in the UPS box, which can correctly adjust the battery charging voltage to achieve compensation effect, thereby extending the battery life.
② Built-in battery leakage automatic detection protection circuit
The battery box shell is grounded. When any battery in the battery pack leaks and contacts the battery box, a current loop is formed to the ground, sparks and high heat occur at the leaking point, which may cause the battery shell to overheat and burn. Protection is provided through detection.
The UPS has a built-in battery grounding fault automatic detection circuit. When a battery grounding fault occurs, the UPS will issue a warning and then separate the rectifier to prevent greater damage.

4. Analysis of solution features
The system application architecture after the rectification is actually two independent "1+1" parallel systems that provide power to the equipment in the computer room respectively. The newly added Delta NT series UPS "1+1" parallel redundant system is analyzed as follows:
⑴ Reliability analysis
① The intelligent microprocessor controller CPU control design simplifies the complex analog circuits and the number of parts, and improves the integration rate and reliability of the entire system.
② Adopt 1+1 parallel redundancy. When one of the UPS fails during the use of the parallel system, the failed UPS will be quickly and reliably offline from the parallel system, thereby ensuring that the parallel system continues to provide users with high-quality inverter power. The reliability of dual-machine parallel redundancy is 5.6 times that of a single-machine system.
③ Delta NT UPS control power supply adopts dual power supply. If any one of the power supplies fails, the UPS can still supply power normally. Different control power circuit inputs come from different incoming power supplies, which further ensures the operation of the control circuit and improves system reliability.
(2) Practicality analysis
① Up to 8 units can be directly connected in parallel without the need for an external parallel card, and the capacity can be expanded online, which is convenient, simple and practical.
② The monitoring software can be used to remotely monitor the various states of the UPS, and the various dynamics of the UPS can be understood in real time without going to the site.
③ Chinese and multi-language options and large graphical LCD display make the UPS easy to operate.
④ With a maintenance bypass switch, the UPS can be powered on for maintenance, so that the system can continue to supply power to the load.
⑶ Capacity expansion and upgrade analysis
① Delta NT series UPS has high reliability parallel technology. Just add a communication data line and reserve two circuit breakers on the AC panel to achieve economical online expansion, and can also be further expanded to N+X multi-machine redundant system.
② If you purchase a machine of the same series and capacity in the second year, you can still achieve parallel connection by simply upgrading the original machine to the same version without the need for a complicated upgrade procedure.
5. Conclusion
This solution introduces the use of two independent "1+1" parallel redundant dual bus output power supplies in the communication room of the Petroleum Administration Bureau, which shields the single point failure of LBS and STS equipment. The system has a simple structure and high reliability, and provides stable and reliable power supply for single power supply equipment and dual power supply equipment in the communication room, and has strong fault clearing capabilities. The introduced solution can be used as a reference for more users.
