On May 11, 2023, Dalianda Holdings, a leading international semiconductor component distributor committed to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Quanding launched high-end semiconductor devices based on Richtek RT6056/RTQ6056 (industrial grade). / Low-voltage side bidirectional current and power monitoring solution.

With the gradual advancement of the "dual carbon" goal and related implementation plans, more and more companies are transitioning to low-carbon development. When using communication products to provide online services to users, companies need to use a large number of data centers, servers and other facilities. The energy consumption and operating efficiency of these facilities directly affect the company's carbon emission level. Therefore, the collection and monitoring of carbon emission data has become the first step for companies to formulate emission reduction plans. To this end, Dalian Daquan Ding launched a high/low voltage side bidirectional current and power monitoring solution based on Richtek RT6056/RTQ6056, which can monitor power changes in communication products and provide relevant data to enterprises.

This solution uses RT6056/RTQ6056, which is a high-precision current detection monitor. It adopts a small MSOP-10 package and is equipped with I²C and SMBus interfaces. It can measure the voltage generated when the current flows through the resistor through the built-in high-precision ADC analog-to-digital converter. The difference and bus voltage are detected and converted into current and power data to provide complete load information to the system. And in the event of overcurrent, overvoltage and overpower, the RT6056/RTQ6056 can issue a warning to the host and provide an alarm function with open-drain output and comprehensive protection.

RT6056/RTQ6056 can operate in the ambient temperature range of -40℃~125℃, with an operating input voltage of 2.7V~5.5V, and can detect the current on the common mode bus voltage of 0V~36V . In addition, it also has programmable calibration, adjustable conversion time and average calculation functions, which can provide greater flexibility for design.
