Vishay's new IHHP power inductors save space and improve efficiency for IoT devices and portable electronics

Devices are available in small 0603, 0805 and 0806 packages with a height of only 0.8 mm


MALVERN, Pennsylvania — September 19, 2022 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. recently announced the launch of three small devices in 0603, 0805 and 0806 form factors - IHHP-0603ZH-01, IHHP-0805ZH-01 and IHHP-0806ZH-01, expanding its IHHP series of ultra-thin, high-current power inductors. Vishay Dale IHHP-0603ZH-01, IHHP-0805ZH-01 and IHHP-0806ZH-01 have low DCR and low core loss. The maximum height is only 0.8 mm, which is used in Internet of Things (IoT) devices and portable electronics, saving space and improving efficiency.


The devices released today are suitable for DC/DC converters and power modules for laptops, tablets, IoT and other handheld battery-powered electronic devices. The power inductors use magnetic alloys for low noise and use magnetic shielding to prevent interference from surrounding devices.


The IHHP-0603ZH-01, IHHP-0805ZH-01 and IHHP-0806ZH-01 offer maximum DCR as low as 24 mΩ , saturation current up to 5.2 A and temperature rise current up to 4.9 A. The devices operate at -55 °C to +125 °C and are packaged in a RoHS-compliant, 100% lead (Pb)-free iron powder alloy composite shield structure.

Samples and production quantities of the new inductors are available now, with lead times of 14 weeks for larger orders.
