At present, more and more LED lamps have replaced traditional lighting lamps and are used in lighting display, advertising lighting, underwater lighting, architectural lighting, street lights and other application fields.
The Chinese government has made "energy conservation and emission reduction" a national policy. With the in-depth development of the national "energy conservation and emission reduction" project, the "green lighting project" has been listed as a key promotion project in China and a cross-century strategy for the energy-saving industry. China's lighting industry has entered a watershed of industrial upgrading. Under the background of calling for energy conservation and emission reduction in lighting, high-efficiency and energy-saving LED products are the focus of industrial upgrading and are called "the beginning of a new revolution in the field of lighting". They combine environmental protection, long life, high efficiency and energy saving, high color rendering, no flicker, no ultraviolet rays, no mosquitoes, instant start, wide voltage working range, wide working temperature range and many other advantages. Its environmental protection advantage makes it the leader in energy-saving lighting products. If 10% of traditional light sources in China are replaced by LEDs every year, 9 billion kWh of electricity can be saved, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 8.64 million tons. At present, LED lighting products have also penetrated into all areas of social life. It is easy to see from the table above that the power consumption of LED lamps is 1/10 of that of incandescent lamps. As for energy-saving lamps or fluorescent tubes, which are currently in large quantities, the energy-saving efficiency is also above 50%, and the harmful and deadly substance in energy-saving lamps or fluorescent tubes - mercury - is completely avoided. A broken 36w fluorescent tube may cause the mercury vapor content in the surrounding air to exceed the national standard by more than 2,000 times; and some scrapped lamps are improperly handled, and the mercury contained in them seeps into the ground. Each milligram of mercury can pollute hundreds of tons of water, which is undoubtedly a huge harm to the ecological environment. LED lamps can not only face the increasingly serious energy crisis, but also provide an important way to purify the ecological environment. Therefore, the potential of LED lighting in energy-saving transformation is huge.
