1. The DC voltage should be consistent

Each inverter has a DC voltage value, such as 12V, 24V, etc.

The inverter (Figure 4) requires that the battery voltage must be consistent with the inverter DC input voltage. For example, a 12V inverter must use a 12V battery.

2. The inverter output power must be greater than the power used by the appliance, especially for appliances with high power at startup, such as refrigerators and air conditioners, a larger margin should be left.

3. The positive and negative poles must be connected correctly

The DC voltage connected to the inverter is marked with positive and negative poles. Red is positive (+), black is negative (-). The battery is also marked with positive and negative poles, red is positive (+), black is negative (-). When connecting, positive must be connected to positive (red to red), and negative to negative (black to black). The diameter of the connecting wire must be thick enough, and the length of the connecting wire must be reduced as much as possible.

4. It should be placed in a ventilated and dry place, avoid rain, and keep a distance of more than 20cm from surrounding objects.

Do not place or cover other items on the machine. The ambient temperature should not exceed 40℃.

5. Charging and inversion cannot be performed at the same time. That is, the charging plug cannot be inserted into the electrical circuit of the inverter output during inversion.

6. The interval between two starts should be no less than 5 seconds (cut off the input power).

7. Please wipe with dry cloth or anti-static cloth to keep the machine clean.

8. Before connecting the input and output of the machine, please first properly ground the machine casing.

9. To avoid accidents, users are strictly prohibited from opening the chassis for operation and use.

10. If you suspect that the machine is faulty, please do not continue to operate or use it.

The inverter (Figure 5) should be disconnected from input and output in time and inspected and repaired by qualified maintenance personnel or maintenance units.

11. When connecting the battery, make sure there are no other metal objects on your hands to avoid battery short circuit and burns to the human body.

12. Usage environment: Based on safety and performance considerations, the installation environment should meet the following conditions:

1) Dry: Do not immerse in water or rain;

2) Cool: temperature between 0℃ and 40℃;

3) Ventilation: Keep no foreign matter within 5cm of the shell, and keep the other end surfaces well ventilated.

13. Installation and use

1) Set the converter switch to the OFF position, then insert the cigar head into the cigarette lighter socket in the car, making sure it is inserted into place and has good contact;

2) Make sure that the power of all electrical appliances is below the G-ICE rated power before use. Insert the 220V plug of the appliance directly into the 220V socket at one end of the converter, and ensure that the sum of the power of all electrical appliances connected to the two sockets is within the G-ICE rated power;

3) Turn on the converter switch and the green indicator light will light up, indicating normal operation.

4) The red indicator light is on, indicating that the converter is shut down due to overvoltage/undervoltage/overload/overtemperature.

5) In many cases, due to the limited output of the car cigarette lighter socket, the converter alarms or shuts down during normal use. At this time, you only need to start the vehicle or reduce the power consumption to return to normal.

14. Notes

1) The power consumption of TV sets, monitors, motors, etc. reaches a peak when they are started.

Although the inverter (Figure 6) can withstand a peak power twice the nominal power, the peak power of some appliances that meet the power requirements may exceed the peak output power of the converter, triggering overload protection and current shutoff. This may happen when multiple appliances are driven at the same time. In this case, you should first turn off the appliance switch, turn on the converter switch, and then turn on the appliance switches one by one, and the appliance with the highest peak value should be turned on first.

2) During use, the battery voltage begins to drop. When the voltage at the DC input end of the converter drops to 10.4-11V, the alarm will sound a peak. At this time, the computer or other sensitive electrical appliances should be turned off in time. If the alarm is ignored, the converter will automatically shut down when the voltage reaches 9.7-10.3V. This can prevent the battery from being over-discharged. After the power protection is turned off, the red indicator light will light up;

3) Start the vehicle in time and charge the battery to prevent power failure, which will affect the vehicle's starting and battery life;

4) Although the converter does not have an overvoltage protection function, the input voltage exceeds 16V and may still damage the converter;

5) After continuous use, the shell surface temperature will rise to 60°C. Pay attention to smooth airflow and keep away objects that are easily affected by high temperatures.
