Ensure the quality and safety of child safety seats to protect children's travel [Copy link]

As people's living standards improve, cars have entered thousands of households, and the relationship between children and cars has become closer and closer. While using cars well, protecting children is an issue that cannot be taken lightly at any time.

Child seats are extremely important for children who are sitting in a car while it is moving. Recently, as the "Minors Protection Law" was being revised, many experts also called for the mandatory use of child safety seats to be included in relevant national laws to protect children's right to life and health.

Can any child safety seat meet the safety standards?

When buying a child safety seat, we don't have to spend a lot of money to pursue big brands or star models. The quality of such products can be judged by two words: "safety". As for the testing and appraisal of "safety", there are many related institutions around the world who do this work repeatedly every year, such as: European ECE R44/04 standard, American JPMA/ASTM, Canadian CMVSS 213, Japanese JIS, etc.

Take ECE R44/04 as an example, the label with black text on an orange background. This is the 44th directive issued by the Economic Commission of Europe on the certification of child restraint systems in vehicles. It is mainly for the certification of products such as cribs, baby carriers, and child safety seats. This set of standards has strict regulations on child head protection, safety restraint capabilities, etc.

ECE R44/04 is more like a concept, involving a universal standard used in many European countries. In Europe, different countries have different requirements and standards for child safety seat index. Once a European country passes this standard certification, it can obtain an additional number, such as E1, E2, E3... Different numbers are applicable to safety standard certifications in different countries. Of course, we still recommend that consumers choose countries with higher awareness, such as the Netherlands, Germany, etc.

On the orange label, there is a big letter "E", and the numbers behind it represent the countries, which are: E1 Germany, E2 France, E3 Italy, E4 Netherlands, E5 Sweden, E6 Belgium, E7 Hungary, E8 Czech Republic, E9 Spain, E10 Yugoslavia, E11 United Kingdom, E12 Austria, E13 Luxembourg, E14 Switzerland, E16 Norway, E17 Finland, E18 Denmark, E19 Romania, E20 Poland, E21 Portugal, E22 Russia, E23 Greece, E25 Croatia, E26 Slovenia, E27 Slovakia, E28 Belarus, E29 Estonia, E31 Bosnia and Herzegovina, E37 Turkey.

Reminder: The orange label will also use numbers to indicate the weight of children it is suitable for, and each country has different safety standards, so please look for the numbers on the label when purchasing the product.

my country's safety seat standards

my country's child safety seat industry started late, but after years of development, China's child safety seat industry is gradually approaching the level of manufacturing and R&D of developed countries such as Europe, the United States, and Japan. At present, China undertakes about 80% of the world's child safety seat production, and many companies have established international systems. In terms of production capacity, many companies have seen regional legislation and are making advance layouts, R&D, and sales. The total child safety seat production capacity exceeds 35 million units.

Although there is no legislation at the national level requiring the mandatory use of child safety seats, local regulations issued by many provinces and cities have also achieved certain results.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued a regulation in 2015: child safety seats that have not obtained the compulsory product certification (i.e. 3C certification) certificate and are not marked with the compulsory product certification mark shall not be manufactured, sold, imported or used in other business activities.
