The LT ® 3758 is a wide input voltage range, current mode, DC/DC controller that can generate positive or negative output voltages. It can be configured as a boost, flyback, SEPIC or inverting converter. The LT3758 drives a low side external N-channel power MOSFET from an internal 7.2V regulated supply. The fixed frequency, current mode architecture enables stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages.
The LT3758's operating frequency can be set with an external resistor (programmable from 100kHz to 1MHz) and can be synchronized to an external clock using the SYNC pin. A 5.5V minimum operating supply voltage and a low shutdown quiescent current (<1μA) make the LT3758 ideal for battery-powered systems.
The LT3758 features soft-start and frequency foldback to limit inductor current during startup and output short circuit.
