What is the current situation of LED lighting? That is, the people who are now launching LED lighting are basically those who want to try it out, or want to invest very little money, get it back immediately, and make money. Many people who make finished products, the so-called small investors, come in because they hear that LED lamps have high profits. They are unwilling to make large investments, and just want to buy some accessories, assemble simply, and make a profit immediately. This is the current situation, which determines that they are now unwilling to make long-term investments. Even for power supplies, they don’t want to spend any money to customize a model. They just want to spend one or two hundred yuan, or tens of yuan at a time, buy some ready-made ones, try it out, and make the lamps. If they can sell them, they will make them. If they can’t sell them, they will turn around. Of course, more customers want some, a small amount or samples, which is this kind of quick assembly. This is also the fundamental reason why LED lamps have endless problems now, because they are impetuous. They need to know how long it takes for a truly mature product and how many certification procedures it takes, but they can’t wait, they need to make a profit immediately. There are basically only a few types of universal light sources, but there are various types of power supplies. This is why LED drivers are so popular. They are just popular for proofing, because others just want samples and there will be no subsequent orders. They just buy a few and will never pay attention to you again.

It is precisely because of this situation that the LED driver power supply manufacturers are in a dilemma. The first dilemma is that there is no volume. Now there are a few manufacturers that may have a little volume, but the manufacturers that really have a little volume are all long-term investment mentality, that is, long-term. The driver power supply, which is related to the life of the product, is made by themselves, and they do not outsource. Those who outsource are the kind of people I mentioned above, who only want to get short-term benefits. Many of them are shooting and changing places, and more are unqualified people. They don’t understand many technical problems. They just heard that they can make money, so they come in to do it. The result is of course that they have no strength and will inevitably not receive any orders. Therefore, we who make LED driver power supplies can only encounter some retail investors who are not strong and unqualified, and this will inevitably result in no orders. The second dilemma is that it is changeable. It is precisely because there is no volume that it is changeable. Everyone puts forward his own specifications and asks you to meet him quickly. Moreover, he is unwilling to pay for development. He only gives a few dozen or a hundred yuan at a time, and just wants to buy a few samples. But since he needs it very urgently and there are so many types and specifications, it is of course difficult for you to make the product perfect because the cycle is short and the time for verification is short. After such products are released, there will be more or less problems. On the other hand, because those unqualified people have low levels and their own level is very limited, they often blame your power supply for problems due to their own reasons or lack of knowledge. I met a person who sold him a non-isolated buck power supply, 34 series and 2 parallel. He said that one string was open and the other was on. This was a problem with the power supply. I told him that it was caused by the poor quality of the LED and the open circuit. He still insisted that it had been sent to the authority for testing and it was found that the problem was with the power supply. There is something even funnier. It is said that under the same brightness, the heat generated by using other people's power supply is less than that generated by using my power supply. This is an even more ridiculous logic, that is, the same brightness must have the same current. How can the LED generate different amounts of heat when the same current flows through the LED? Therefore, those who make LED power supplies are now facing those unqualified people. They certainly don't have any big orders, and they may even cause trouble for you. A lot of energy is wasted on talking to them, which is the biggest dilemma of LED lighting at present.
