Keysight Technologies to Feature Solutions to Accelerate RF Innovation at European Microwave Week 2024

Keysight Technologies will be at the 2024 European Microwave Week (EuMW) exhibition in Paris, France, from September 22 to 27, showcasing a range of solutions that accelerate RF and millimeter wave innovation. Keysight's comprehensive solutions have intelligent insights to help customers meet test challenges, thereby reducing risks and accelerating new product launches, and can be widely used in aerospace, defense, automotive, IoT, 5G and 6G applications. Keysight Technologies has participated in the EuMW exhibition as a platinum sponsor for 21 consecutive years.


In addition to showcasing solutions at EuMW, Keysight Chief Marketing Officer Marie Hattar will welcome delegates at the show's opening ceremony on September 24 and deliver a speech titled " Everything, Everyone, Everywhere: A Decade of Connecting the World."


Keysight will demonstrate the following solutions at EuMW 2024:


  • Simplified converter testing: Keysight Technologies will demonstrate its new PNA-X vector network analyzer, a highly configurable vector network analyzer that integrates four RF signal sources, two signal combiners and two low-noise receivers in a single instrument to accelerate component characterization.


  • Sub-terahertz component analysis: This demonstration will highlight how Keysight’s Vector Component Analyzer (VCA) can help engineers perform comprehensive testing of critical components in the 6G ecosystem. By simulating realistic wideband modulated signals, Keysight’s Vector Component Analyzer (VCA) can provide deep insights to improve system performance.


  • Precision RF Field Testing: This demonstration will highlight Keysight's Spectrum Management Software (KSMS) and how spectrum management and monitoring authorities, public and private network operators can manage spectrum resources while detecting, locating and troubleshooting interference issues and achieving full spectrum optimization from RF to air for analog and digital demodulation.


  • Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN): In this demonstration, Keysight will focus on how to generate signals to simulate virtual satellite flyby scenarios with arbitrary orbital parameters and realistic radio link conditions. In addition, Keysight will demonstrate various NTN test scenarios, including orbit modeling as described in the 3GPP TR38.811 protocol.


  • Wideband Active Load Pull: Keysight will demonstrate its newly introduced Wideband Active Load Pull (WALP) technology using a dual-channel VXG-C vector signal source and PNA-X network analyzer. This technology enables power amplifiers to achieve better error vector magnitude performance in the presence of arbitrary frequency-dependent load impedance without impedance tuners. This is critical for designing power amplifiers used in phased array antenna systems.


  • Prototyping and Verification of Wideband MIMO: Multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) and ultra-large bandwidth will be key technologies for 6G to achieve 100Gbps to 1Tbps data throughput. Keysight will demonstrate how its multi-port solutions with ultra-large bandwidth can improve the flexibility and scalability of prototyping and verification.
