Liquid flow meters are mainly used to detect fluid flow rate. By detecting the accumulated flow, the function of controlling the fluid volume can be achieved. Liquid flow meters are used to measure the flow of various fluids, such as measuring the flow of liquids, gases, and steam in sealed pipes. As people consume more and more water, flow meters can not only monitor domestic wastewater, but also are an indispensable part of the process control system of sewage treatment plants. Since liquid flow meters are very precise measuring instruments in the industrial field, higher performance requirements are required for ADC modules to achieve higher speed and accuracy monitoring. This article focuses on the application performance of the domestically produced Xinchi ADC SC164.
The Xinchi SC1644 is a fast-settling, highly accurate, low-power, 8/16-channel, multiplexed ADC. The chip integrates a precision analog input buffer and a reference input buffer, and uses a 2.5 V precision reference voltage. Currently, most liquid flow meters generally require the ADC data rate to be above 20KSPS, while the Xinchi SC1644 has a maximum rate of 31.25KSPS, which can fully meet the rate requirements. The chip provides a perfect combination of low input noise and high sampling speed, and is particularly suitable for liquid flow meter applications with high measurement accuracy.

Usually, the temperature environment of industrial sites is very complex and harsh. In order to ensure the normal operation of the flow meter, a wide operating temperature range and low power consumption are particularly important for the flow meter. The maximum junction temperature and minimum operating temperature of the Xinchi SC1644 are -40°C-150°C, and the operating voltage is 3.3 V or 5V, which can maintain normal operation even in harsh environments.
