Ammonia, also known as ammonia water, is colorless, transparent and has a pungent odor. Its main component is NH3·H2O. It is an aqueous solution of ammonia gas. The melting point is -77°C, the boiling point is 36°C, and the density is 0.91g/cm^3. Easily soluble in water and ethanol. It is easily volatile, has some alkaline properties, and is produced by passing ammonia gas into water. It is toxic, irritating and corrosive to the eyes, nose, and skin. It is more corrosive to copper than steel. Industrial ammonia is an aqueous solution containing 25% to 28% ammonia. Only a small part of the ammonia molecules in the ammonia water are related to The water reacts to form ammonium ions and hydroxide ions, ammonium hydroxide, a weak base found only in ammonia. Ammonia gas is easily soluble in water and ethanol. It is easy to volatilize. The longer it is left, the greater the volatilization rate will be, and the amount of volatilization will increase as the concentration increases. Ammonia is produced by passing ammonia gas into water. As the pressure increases, more ammonia can be dissolved, but it is not easy to store and is also dangerous. Therefore, storing ammonia requires a sealed tank. Industrial ammonia is an aqueous solution containing 25% to 28% ammonia. Many companies use manual detection of the concentration of ammonia, which is cumbersome, time-consuming and inefficient.

Ammonia concentration tester product description:

BOS-1000 series online density meter can measure the density of various liquids or liquid mixtures online. In the petrochemical industry, it can be widely used in petroleum, oil refining, oil blending, and oil-water interface detection; in the food industry, it can be used at production sites such as grape juice, tomato juice, fructose syrup, vegetable oil, and soft drink processing; dairy products industry; paper industry; black pulp, Testing of green pulp, white pulp and alkali solutions; wine alcohol content; chemical urea, detergent, ethylene glycol, acid and alkali and polymer density testing. It can also be used in mining brine, potash, natural gas, lubricants, biopharmaceuticals and other industries.

Features of ammonia concentration tester

1. Two-wire transmitter with integrated structure, no moving parts and easy maintenance. 2. Four-and-a-half-digit LCD display. 3. Easy to install and use, the reading can be displayed by inserting liquid. 4. Used in fluid or static liquid , suitable for pipeline and tank installation. 5. The two parameters of temperature and density can be displayed alternately, which is convenient for industry standard density conversion. 6. Continuous online measurement of liquid density without process interruption, can be directly used for production process control. 7. Contact All liquid parts are made of stainless steel materials of several media, which is safe and hygienic. 8. The safe type can be used in hazardous environments; the hygienic type can be installed at food production sites

Precautions for installing ammonia concentration tester:

Ammonia concentration meters can be divided into plug-in type, side-mounted type, and elbow type according to different installation methods. When installing, pay attention to the minimum liquid level. Since the height difference between the two sensors is 400mm, the minimum liquid level of the liquid during installation must be Above 400mm, otherwise the sensor cannot sense the measurement and there will be deviation. If the liquid level is too low, it must be measured using pipe installation.

1: The minimum distance between the sensor parts of the direct online liquid density meter is 200mm and the diameter is 50mm. The installation on site cannot be smaller than these dimensions. If you choose a curved density meter, please measure the flange and length dimensions that can extend into the pipe.

2: The on-site liquid must be kept below the two measuring sensors, and the distance from the flange to the first sensor is optional.

3: When installing the pipeline, the liquid must be allowed to enter from under the bottom sensor, or from above the top sensor, and not from the middle. When the pipeline is installed to pass liquid, a liquid buffer distance of at least 30CM should be left at the valve or elbow part of the pipeline.

4: The red flange matching part of the installation diagram provides installation for the user. If a matching flange is required, please indicate it when ordering.

5: The power supply is 24V DC and outputs 4-20mA signal. If you need to connect a secondary meter, you need to turn 24V "+"

Connect it to the "+" pole at the back of the density meter, connect the current signal "+" to the "-" pole of the density meter, and short-circuit the 24V "-" and current signal terminal "-" on the secondary meter.

6: If there are corrosive liquids outside the on-site environment, please take protective measures. If there is a risk of lightning strike, please install grounding devices around it.

7: If it needs to be disassembled for cleaning, please ensure that the sensor diaphragm is not subject to collision or other damage during disassembly and assembly.

8: Do not use it when the temperature is higher than 5Mpa.

9: If you need to adjust the range, you need to use a handheld device. Please contact the manufacturer for technical questions.
