Conductivity meter sensors often encounter the following problems during use, such as whether the sensor needs to be calibrated after being used for a long time, and how to calibrate it? This article mainly introduces whether the sensor needs to be calibrated after being used for a long time.
Conductivity meter sensors often encounter the following problems during use, such as whether the sensor needs to be calibrated after being used for a long time, and how to calibrate it? Can the standard solution for calibrating the conductivity meter sensor be purchased directly from the manufacturer? In addition, will the sensor affected by the measurement when it is installed again after self-cleaning?
Can the standard solution and equipment for calibrating the conductivity sensor be purchased from the conductivity meter manufacturer?
Some do not provide conductivity standard solutions for calibrating the sensor electrode constant. Traceability calibration is performed under strictly controlled pure water and temperature conditions. The sensor is actually calibrated in a closed pure water or ultrapure water system with the same application conditions as the user. This calibration is valid for at least one year and is much more accurate than customer on-site calibration.
You can calibrate with a standard solution, which must be accurate and uncontaminated. For pure water sensors, the ideal standard solution is circulated 18.2Megohm-cm ultrapure water in a sealed package. If there is no such system, the conductivity of the standard solution used in an open environment must be higher than 100uS/cm to reduce the impact of carbon dioxide pollution in the air. The best is the ASTMD1125 solution of 147uS/cm. Do not use standard solutions on the market that are lower than 100uS/cm. The error caused by the uncertainty of air pollution is greater than the nonlinear error of the conductivity meter after exceeding the range.
The conductivity meter sensor has been removed from the water system. If it is drained, will it affect the reading after reinstallation?
The conductivity meter sensor can be drained between uses without affecting performance. If used in relatively dirty water, it should be cleaned first. For pH and ORP sensors, they must always be kept moist and stored in the original cover, and there must be a certain amount of water in the cover.
