February 22, 2024 – Mouser Electronics, an industry-renowned New Product Introduction (NPI) agent offering an ultra-rich range of semiconductors and electronic components™, is now offering Espressif Systems’ ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module . The ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module is a powerful general-purpose low-power Bluetooth and IEEE 802.15.4 combination module, optimized and compatible with Matter. Matter is an IP-based industry-unified connectivity protocol that simplifies the development of IoT applications and can be seamlessly integrated into various ecosystems such as smart homes, industrial automation, consumer electronics, smart agriculture, and healthcare.
The Espressif Systems ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module supplied by Mouser uses the ESP32-H2 system-on-chip (SoC). The chip is equipped with a 32-bit RISC-V single-core CPU with an operating frequency of up to 96MHz and low-power intelligent co-processing. processor, continuously monitoring peripherals to improve energy efficiency. ESP32-H2 integrates multiple protocols (I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, ADC, LED PWM, ETM, GDMA, PCNT, PARLIO, RMT, TWAI, MCPWM, USB serial port/JTAG), temperature sensor, general timer, system timers and watchdog timers, and up to 19 GPIOs.
The ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module is very suitable for building Thread terminal devices, Thread border routers and Matter bridges by combining ESP Wi-Fi® SoC. The compact ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module is pin-compatible with the ESP32-C3-MINI and ESP32-C6-MINI modules. The ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module has 320KB SRAM (including 16KB cache), 128KB ROM and 4KB LP memory, and has built-in 2MB or 4MB SiP flash memory.
The ESP32-H2-MINI-1x module comes with the accompanying Espressif Systems ESP32-H2-DevKitM-1 development kit, also available at Mouser. This kit provides an entry-level development board equipped with the ESP32-H2-MINI-1 module. Its I/O signals are led to pin headers on both sides of the circuit board to facilitate connection of peripherals . Developers can choose to connect peripherals via jumpers or plug the Espressif ESP32-H2-DevKitM-1 into a breadboard.
