Würth Elektronik expands coaxial connector product range with ultra-miniature RF coaxial connectors
Perfect antenna connection
Waldenburg (Germany), March 30, 2022 - The WR-UMRF (Ultra-Micro RF Coaxial Connector) is the latest high-frequency coaxial connector from Würth Elektronik with extremely small dimensions. By snapping the plug into the socket, a stable wire-to-board right-angle connection is formed with a height of only 2.5 mm. This affordable connection technology is particularly suitable for connecting antennas to RF modules. The characteristic impedance is 50 Ohms and the frequency range is up to 6 GHz.
The WR-UMRF ultra-thin connection solution is only 2.5 mm in height and requires only 3.1 mm x 3.0 mm of space on the PCB. In terms of technical specifications, the WR-UMRF is compatible with many similar products on the market.
Würth Elektronik also offers assembled UMRF, SMA and RP-SMA cables in various combinations, and cables with protection class IP67 are available. The cables are available in diameters of 1.13 mm, 1.32 mm and 1.37 mm .
Both the WR-UMRF connectors and sockets are available from stock with no minimum order quantity. Developers can request free samples from Würth Elektronik.
