Infineon selected as the world's most sustainable company

Infineon Technologies was once again selected into the Dow Jones Sustainability™ World Index, and S&P Global recently announced a relevant assessment report in New York, USA.

Infineon is making steady progress towards its goal of becoming carbon neutral (Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions) by 2030, and progress is well underway. Despite roughly doubling business, the company's carbon emissions to date have been reduced by 56.8% compared to a 2019 baseline.

As a leading semiconductor manufacturer in the fields of power systems and the Internet of Things, Infineon has made important contributions in promoting the process of low carbonization and thereby helping the entire society achieve net-zero emissions. The carbon dioxide emissions reduction achieved during use of Infineon's products and solutions is equivalent to 34 times the carbon dioxide emissions during the production process.

This year, Infineon has achieved particularly outstanding results in privacy protection and innovation management. The entire evaluation covers all levels of R&D, product innovation and process innovation, such as through digitalization and Industry 4.0 applications to achieve the above goals.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is globally recognized as one of the most important reference benchmarks for measuring sustainable development. By evaluating the company's economic, environmental and social benefits, the world's most sustainable companies are selected from 61 industries. The index is designed to help investors factor sustainability into their investment portfolios and make informed decisions. It also hopes to encourage companies to actively work to further promote sustainable development.
