According to @国是直通车, at the second #中国发展规划论坛 held on November 28, Wang Zhijun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the chip industry has seen blind investment and unfinished projects.

He said that in recent years, there has been duplicate construction and overcapacity in the fields of steel, cement, and electrolytic aluminum. There has also been duplicate construction in emerging industries such as photovoltaics. Currently, there has been blind investment and unfinished projects in industries such as chip manufacturing. The investment in integrated circuit manufacturing in the previous stage was also revealed to have caused huge losses, which requires planning and strengthened supervision.

At the same time, we should see that mergers and reorganizations are an effective form for enterprises to integrate innovative resources and low-level expansion, achieve scale development and enhance competitiveness.

Wang Zhijun said that in response to prominent problems such as the relatively small scale, serious homogeneity and lack of globally leading large-scale competitive enterprises of some of China's emerging enterprises, it is recommended to promote the rapid development of strategic emerging industries through the fusion effect of mergers and reorganizations .
