Industry media quoted sources as saying that SMIC, the leading domestic wafer foundry, informed its customers via email that prices will be raised across the board starting April 1. Orders that have already been placed will maintain their original prices, while orders that have been placed but not yet placed will be charged the new prices regardless of order time and payment ratio.

The financial report shows that SMIC achieved a net profit of 4.332 billion yuan in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 141.5%. SMIC said that its operating income in 2020 totaled 27.4707 billion yuan and its net profit was 4.0213 billion yuan.

The company's integrated circuit wafer foundry business is based on 8-inch or 12-inch wafers to realize the circuit graphics and functions designed by customers. In addition to integrated circuit wafer foundry, the company is also committed to building a platform-based ecological service model.
