Today, when air conditioners are so popular, ceiling fans are still favored by many consumers. Especially in large factory workshops, ceiling fans are more widely used due to their advantages of being more energy-saving, environmentally friendly and conducive to promoting air circulation. And as people's needs continue to change, the functions of ceiling fans have also shown a diversified development trend. Under this trend, ceiling fan motors, as the core of the entire product, also need to have higher efficiency and safety. The ceiling fan solution launched by Dalian Dapinjia based on Infineon products adopts Infineon's advanced power devices and motor control technology, which can help users accelerate product design.

This solution is a complete reference design, including a motherboard, a daughter card with an IrDa sensor, and a matching remote control box. The core of the motherboard is the IMD112T iMOTION™ motor control smart driver, which integrates a motor controller, a high-voltage three-phase gate driver and a voltage regulator. And the system utilizes field-certified motion control engines (MCE) to provide ready-made PFC and motor controllers, thus solving the software coding process in the development process of ceiling fan motor control algorithms and reducing design time.

In addition, the solution also includes a PFC circuit, which uses 8A 650V TRENCHSTOP™5 H5 IGBT IKA08N65H5 and IRS44273L gate driver in the selection of power devices, and the inverter uses 3A 600V reverse conduction IGBT IKN03N60RC2. Thanks to these components, this solution can provide a reference for any ceiling fan system at very low system and development costs.
