Its subsidiary Shiping launched gaming peripheral solutions based on NXP NxH3670 and LPC5528 platforms. ☜

In the fast-paced modern life, every ordinary person is inevitably overwhelmed by stress. Therefore, under heavy pressure, entertainment games have become the best stress regulator for most people. With the boom of the video game industry, some video game peripheral products such as controllers and joysticks have also attracted market attention. At the same time, people have begun to put forward higher requirements for their performance and operational feel. In response to this trend, Dalian Shiping has launched a gaming peripheral solution based on NXP products, which can help manufacturers quickly develop products that fit the market.

The NxH3670 used in this solution is a 2.4GHz BLE transceiver with ultra-low standby power consumption for audio streaming. It highly integrates a 2.4GHz wireless transceiver and an embedded MCU to support wireless audio streaming on wireless handheld devices and headphones. The LPC5528 MCU used in this solution is based on the Arm Cortex M33 (150MHz) core and has a high-speed USB and Audio wireless transmission architecture. Its specifications are more competitive in the market and closer to the needs of players.


And with the help of this MCU, the solution also has the function of switching between wireless and wired modes. When the High Speed ​​USB VBUS Pin of the MCU detects that there is power from the PC, the joystick will automatically switch to wired mode. At the same time, when the lithium battery of the joystick is in a low power state, it will determine whether the lithium battery needs to be charged through the charging circuit. When the wireless search button is pressed, the MCU on the joystick side will transmit a signal to the NxH3670, so that through the wireless function of the NxH3670, it can search for a Dongle signal to pair with. If a wireless signal is received from the Dongle side, it will switch to wireless mode.

The combination of NxH3670 and LPC5528 forms a high-configuration product solution, allowing users to listen to music or game sound effects on the Controller side while immersing themselves in playing games, gaining a differentiated experience.


▌Core technology advantages

MCU (LPC5528):

  • Cortex-M33 processor, running frequency up to 150MHz;

  • Memory options 512KB Flash and 256KB RAM;

  • With High Speed ​​USB Port;

  • Supports 8 sets of Flexcomm functions, and each Flexcomm interface can be set to USART, SPI, I2C, and I2S interfaces through software;

  • HLQFP100 (14×14×0.5mm), HTQFP64 (10×10×0.5mm), VFBGA98 (7×7×0.5mm).

Bluetooth Low Energy transceiver for audio streaming (NxH3670):

  • Support 2.4GHz RF and 2Mbits/s transmission efficiency;

  • Supports low-power Bluetooth GFSK, which can be defined as 1Mbps or 2Mbps transmission efficiency through commands;

  • AES-128 security coprocessor;

  • Support audio interface and audio processing accelerator;

  • CoolFlux DSP that supports audio processing;

  • Supports multi-interface control, information transmission, adjustment, and testing modules (I2C, I2S, I2C, SPI).


▌Solution Specifications

  • Provide relevant software and hardware design for customers to develop quickly;

  • In the solution design module board, a charge and discharge circuit is planned through Battery Charger IC, Current Protection IC, MOS (FDN357N, SQ2303ES), and Schottky (PMEG4010BEA). The module board can be powered by lithium batteries. When the lithium battery power is insufficient, It can also be powered by the USB power supply on the PC side and charge the lithium battery;

  • The Main Board and Dongle of the solution module board transmit signals wirelessly through NxH3670;

  • The solution module board has 13 buttons, 2 Joysticks (16-bit ADC), 2 RT, LT 16-bit ADC buttons, 2 sets of vibration motor output ports, 1 set of Audio, Microphone, 1 set of gyroscope, and accelerometer.
