Vishay's New AEC-Q200 Qualified Inductor Achieves 125A Continuous Current for the First Time in the Industry
Recently, Vishay launched a new AEC-Q200 certified inductor, which is the first in the industry to achieve a continuous current of 125A. The Vishay Dale IHXL-2000VZ-5A can be used in the automotive and industrial fields. With a saturation current of up to 190A with a 20% reduction in inductance, it can work continuously at a high temperature of +155℃, and the mounting methods include through-hole, soldering, welding or bolting.
The devices released this time are suitable for electric vehicles ( EV ), hybrid electric vehicles ( HEV ), solar and wind power generation. The size of the IHXL-2000VZ-5A is 50.8mm x 50.8mm x 21.5mm, and its 2000 form factor is the largest among composite inductors. The inductor has an effective filtering frequency up to SRF ( 13.1MHz for 2.2µH inductance ), a typical DCR as low as 0.21mΩ, and a nominal inductance of 2.2µH. Other inductance values will be available in the future.
The IHXL-2000VZ-5A can handle high transient current spikes without hard saturation. The inductor is packaged in a 100% lead-free shielded composite structure that reduces buzzing noise to ultra-low levels, has a specified operating temperature range of -55℃ to +155℃, and has strong resistance to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical shock. The device complies with RoHS and Vishay Green standards and is halogen-free.
Samples and production quantities of the IHXL-2000VZ-5A are available now, with lead times of twelve to fourteen weeks for larger orders.
