The RL78 series MCU products with the strongest computing processing capabilities
RL78/G24 has a CPU operating frequency of up to 48MHz for the first time among the RL78 series MCU products. It is equipped with a flexible application accelerator (FAA) dedicated to computing processing, and has the most powerful performance in the history of the RL78 series MCU.
The FAA is a CPU-independent assist processor that performs 32-bit multiplication, addition, and subtraction operations in a single cycle. Because it can run independently of the CPU, processing such as inverter control, encryption and detection can be shared between the CPU and FAA, increasing processing speed.

Rich timers and enhanced simulation capabilities
The simulation function of RL78/G24 is more powerful than the previous RL78 series products.
It has a built-in AD converter with a maximum conversion speed of 1µs, which can simultaneously sample three channels; a high-speed comparator with an output delay of 50ns, and a dual-channel 8-bit DC converter. The two converters can be combined as A 10-bit single channel converter.
In addition, compared with previous RL78 series products, its various timer functions have been expanded and are suitable for motor control, inverter control, power control and lighting control.

Support various industrial communications
RL78/G24 supports industrial communication standard SM/PM bus communication, and with the help of hardware, it can also support lighting communication standard DALI, which can further simplify the design and reduce system costs.

Two types of evaluation boards are available for the RL78/G24:

Solution Evaluation Kits are evaluation boards designed for initial evaluation of solutions and are available in two types: one for motor applications and the other for power/lighting applications.
