2月21日，省沈抚新区管委会对外公布，由罕王微电子(辽宁)有限公司投资研发建造的国内首条具备国际领先水平的8英寸MEMS后端生产线在新区内建成投产，填补了国内行业空白。这也将促进省沈抚新区在传感器、物联网产业领域开疆拓土，助推全省战略性新兴产业迈向高质量发展。

MEMS is the abbreviation of micro-electromechanical system, which refers to high-tech devices with a size of several millimeters or even smaller. Its internal structure is generally at the micrometer or even nanometer level. It is an independent intelligent system with broad application prospects in the national economy and military fields. At present, the global MEMS chip market is growing rapidly. As the world's largest MEMS chip consumer market, China's market is in short supply and is expected to grow to more than 100 billion yuan in 2023.

As a well-known private enterprise in the province, Hanwang Microelectronics has a strong international technical team, numerous MEMS core patents and rich process production experience, and masters the key technologies of core chip design and manufacturing of high-tech product MEMS devices. After this production line is put into production, it is expected to produce 20 million MEMS chips throughout the year and achieve sales of 200 million yuan. In addition, based on the stable operation of the back-end process, the front-end process is planned to be put into production within the year, fully realizing the design and large-scale mass production of 8-inch MEMS chips, which is expected to create an annual output value of 12 billion yuan and an annual increase in profits and taxes of 6.5 billion yuan.
