HTC Chairman Wang Xuehong was reportedly defrauded of US$7.4 million (approximately RMB 48.62 million) by church members in the United States, and has now filed a lawsuit in a US court.

据《世界日报》报导，加州执业律师蔡旌明受王雪红之託，对常如武与李薇林夫妇两人提告，控告两人涉嫌诈骗宏达电董事长王雪红。根据联检方资料指出，王雪红捐给“基督之家第四家”约740万美金，遭常如武与李薇林两人挪作私用。两人已在8日被捕，并以每人20万美金保释。

Chang Ruwu is Wang Xuehong's husband Chen Wenqi and a college classmate. He is fully trusted by Wang Xuehong and Chen Wenqi and was even appointed as VIA's general manager and chief financial officer in the United States.

The indictment states that Wang Xuehong and Chen Wenqi donated large sums of money to the fourth Christian House since 1996 to establish the Seminary Fund, the Mainland China Mission Fund, and the Church/Building Development Fund. The defendant Chang Ruwu took advantage of Wang Xuehong's trust and fraudulently misappropriated the high amount of donations.

HTC has not responded to the allegations that its chairman Wang Xuehong was defrauded by fellow church members.
