In addition to the iPhone 7 that has been all over the screen, we should also pay attention to news about other Apple products.

Earlier, news about APPLE WATCH 2 has been exposed. Apple Watch 2 will undergo a more comprehensive upgrade. Although the appearance is still square and not much different from the first generation, the internal changes are more obvious.

Specifically, Apple Watch 2 will use a more powerful processor, add more sensors, such as blood oxygen, and the battery capacity of the 42mm version will be increased from 246mAh in the first generation to 334mAh.
The case is still square, with diameters of 38mm and 42mm, but because of the new design of the bezel, it is slightly smaller than before.

In addition, the S2 high-end version mentioned by Guo Mingchi seems to have appeared. It does integrate more sensors. It is rumored that the processor is made of 16nm process. However, whether an independent baseband module is added needs to be confirmed at the press conference.

Today, there is also news about iPad products. According to foreign media reports, many distributors in distribution channels are currently out of stock of iPad Air 2. Judging from past situations, this is often a precursor to product updates. In the next few weeks, will the iPad product line usher in an adjustment?

However, it should be pointed out that we have hardly heard any news about the iPad product line being updated in the past period of time. The latest report from KGI Securities believes that the iPad will not be updated until at least 2017. However, judging from the dealers' system, all colors and sizes of iPad Air 2 are out of stock, which is a bit suspicious.

Earlier news pointed out that Apple is planning to launch new 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPads early next year. Another possibility is that Apple is preparing to remove the iPad Air 2 from the product line to make room for a "cheap" 9.7-inch iPad.

From the current situation, Apple may not bring a new iPad at the upcoming conference, but it may soon adjust the iPad product line.

I have 10 cores, are you shaking?

Speaking of processors, Apple still insists on dual-core. A8X once used three cores, but A9X returned to dual-core, but at the same time greatly raised the frequency to 2.26GHz, which is also the first time that Apple processors have exceeded 2GHz.

Of course, A8X and A9X are used for tablets, and the latest A9 frequency on iPhone is only 1.85GHz, even so, the single-thread performance is still very strong.

iPhone 7 will use the latest A10, manufactured by TSMC's 16nm process, and still dual-core, but according to Apple's habits, it will definitely be greatly enhanced.

According to the latest information from Weibo user @i冰宇宙, the frequency of the A10 processor will be as high as 2.4GHz, a 30% increase over the A9.

However, whether it can run stably depends on the packaging capability of TSMC's 16nm FinFET Plus InFO process and Apple's ability to control the CPU architecture - the latter seems beyond doubt.

If it can stably reach 2.4GHz, then this alone, even if there is no improvement in the architecture (IPC remains unchanged), can bring obvious performance improvement. The GeekBench 4 running score for a single core can reach at least 3200 - the Snapdragon 820 has just exceeded 1500!

In previous reports, the A10 processor frequency was shown as 2.37GHz (approximately equal to 2.4GHz), and the GeekBench 3 running score for a single thread was 3548 and a multi-thread score of 6430 - the Snapdragon 810 was basically around 2300 and 5400 points.

As for the A10 GPU graphics core, there is no news at present, but Apple has always been very aggressive in GPU. The A10 may be the first to launch a new generation of ARM Mali-G71, and it will definitely be a customized version.

According to previous news summary, the performance of the iPhone7's A10 processor is about 10% higher than the current mainstream flagship Snapdragon 820.

Appendix: iPhone 7 details revealed

Apple's next-generation iPhone (iPhone 7 series) is expected to be officially unveiled at a press conference on September 7. Although some analysts recently said that there may be surprises at the press conference on September 7 and that the iPhone 7 will sell well, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst at KGI Securities who has accurately predicted Apple's product trends many times, estimates that due to yield issues and limited selling points, the shipment volume of iPhone 7 this year may shrink by 20%.

iPhone Mania, taisy0, gori.me and other Japanese Apple intelligence-related websites quoted a report from 9to5Mac on the 3rd, pointing out that the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo announced detailed information about the iPhone 7 in his latest report. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 7 series will be equipped with the A10 chip manufactured by TSMC (2330), with a clock speed of 2.4GHz, which will significantly improve the performance compared to the current A9 (1.8GHz). There are a total of 5 colors for the iPhone 7 series, and the current space gray will be abandoned, with two additional black colors, "dark black" and "piano black". Due to production issues, the piano black color may only be limited to high-memory capacity models in the initial sales.

The screen size of the iPhone 7 series will remain unchanged at the current 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, but it will adopt the "True Tone Display" technology used by the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which means it has the same color gamut as the iPad Pro, allowing consumers to view the photos they have taken with more vivid colors.

The iPhone 7 camera will be upgraded from the current model, but only the iPhone 7 Plus will be equipped with dual lenses, which are composed of a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens, with 12 million pixels and a 6-lens structure. In addition to optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS), it also supports "light field camera applications (the specific content is unknown and will be known on the day of announcement)" and uses new LED flash parts, with the number of LEDs increased from the current 2 to 4.

The memory capacity of the iPhone 7 series is 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB (the current iPhone 6s series is 16GB, 32GB, and 128GB), of which the iPhone 7 uses 2GB RAM and the iPhone 7 Plus with dual lenses uses 3GB RAM. The

iPhone 7 series will abolish the 3.3mm headphone jack, and the same package will include EarPods headphones with Lightning terminals and an adapter that allows consumers to use current headphones. The extra space created by abolishing the headphone jack will be equipped with a new sensor that improves the accuracy of pressure-sensitive touch.

iPhone The 7 series will have the same IPX7 waterproof function as the Apple Watch, and can be used for 30 minutes in a water depth of 1 meter. In addition, the proximity sensors on the iPhone 7 series will support gesture functions.
However, Kuo Ming-Chi pointed out that due to yield issues and "limited selling points", it is estimated that the shipment volume of the iPhone 7 series this year may only be 65 million units, which will be 20% less than last year's iPhone 6s series (82 million units).

In addition, well-known whistleblower Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) released three barcode stickers allegedly for the iPhone 7 on Twitter on the 4th (click here), which marked the memory capacity of the iPhone 7 as 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB; in addition, the barcode stickers (from left to right) are marked with the words "Deep Rose", "Black 1", and "Black 2". Deep Rose should refer to rose gold, while Black 1 and Black 2 should indicate that the iPhone 7 will have two black models.

Steve The barcode stickers mentioned above by Hemmerstoffer are said to be provided by someone working at Foxconn, and the revelation also confirms Ming-Chi Kuo's inference about the memory capacity of the iPhone 7 and the addition of two black models.
According to the quotation of the Harvest XQ Global Winner System, Apple rose 0.94% on the 2nd to close at $107.73, setting a new closing high since August 24.

Nikkei Asian Review reported on August 26 that due to the low yield of some parts, the Apple iPhone 7, which is expected to be launched in September, may be out of stock in the early stage. According to a person familiar with the details, "Although suppliers are currently working hard to improve the yield problem, if Apple iPhone 7 is still launched according to the schedule of last year (iPhone 6s), there may not be sufficient supply in the early stage of sales."

In a research report released on August 23, Yuanta Investment Consulting analyst Jeff Pu revised down the total production of new and old iPhones in the second half of 2016 (July-December) from the original estimate of 120 million to 114 million, mainly due to the low yield of the waterproof speaker and dual-lens camera module used in the new iPhone (iPhone 7). Jeff Pu also estimated that the production of iPhone 7 in the second half of 2016 will be 74 million, which will be about 10 million less than the iPhone 6s (production of 84 million) in the same period last year, and as Apple asked suppliers to reduce prices, the suppliers' profits may deteriorate .
