Huang Jen-Hsun’s latest interview: Jackie Chan is very much like me, and he is the first choice for autobiography actors

If you were in a biopic about the life of Nvidia's CEO, which actor would be your first choice? According to the sixty-year-old leather-clad man himself, it should probably be martial arts comedian Jackie Chan. "He looks just like me," Huang joked in a recent interview, "[but] I'll do my own stunts." my own stunts)
As much as we'd like to sit down with a bowl of popcorn and watch a movie about the life and times of Nvidia's CEO, there's no sign that such a kinetic work of art is in the works. The topic of casting for the Jen-Hsun Huang biopic came up during a recent interview with the globally lethal CEO at the historic HP Garage. We think this is an off-the-cuff question meant to inject humor into the chat.
HP's "The Moment" host Ryan Patel immediately made headlines after discussing the Nvidia CEO's logo tattoo. "Who would play you in the movie version of your life?" Patel asked. Without pausing, Huang replied: "Jackie Chan, he looks just like me." The Nvidia CEO continued, joking: "I'll do my own stunts... I'll do my own stunts... I'll do all my own typing. It's also been suggested that part of the soundtrack may have been composed by Taylor Swift.
During the interview, host Ryan Patel asked about tattoos in a wide-ranging interview. "So you got your company logo tattooed on your arm. What's next?" "Age gracefully. No more tattoos," the 60-year-old retorts. "It's more painful than anyone can tell you," Huang added.
This isn't actually the first time Huang has complained about his tattoos.
Back in November 2017, he told Fortune that he wanted to have his tattoos extended, but recalled "crying like a baby" during the process.
"My kids were with me and they said, 'Dad, you have to control yourself,'" he told the outlet.
It's unclear when the tattoo on Huang's left arm occurred. Nvidia's stock price has split five times since going public in 1999. Currently trading at $411.61 a share, Nvidia's shares have nearly doubled this year after the company posted stunning results in the first and second quarters as it rode the AI boom.
The stock market surge has in turn increased Huang's wealth by 166% this year - his net worth was estimated at $36.7 billion as of October 31, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
This tattoo, along with his black leather jacket, accentuates Wong's signature biker aesthetic. Wong seems to have been associated with his leather jackets since at least 2013. This signature style stands in stark contrast to that of most other tech CEOs, yet has become well-known and established just three years later. In 2016, Huang hosted a Reddit AMA, introduced himself as Nvidia CEO, and added: "You probably know me better as the 'leather jacket, triple repeat guy.'" Hahaha. ” He wasn’t really joking though.
It would be interesting to know if this leather jacket “CEO Brand” was inspired by someone else, such as Steve Jobs. The Apple co-founder was last seen wearing a similar black turtleneck sweater from his own brand.
"The Hour" host Ryan Patel asked Huang how he felt about the "jacket" and being a "fashion star." Huang humbly rejects suggestions that he is somehow a trendsetter. The Nvidia CEO didn't directly mention that the decision to go with a leather jacket was a lasting style decision. However, he said that for now, his wife and daughter are responsible for his clothing choices.
Jen-Hsun Huang replied: "I'm happy that my wife and daughter design clothes for me."
In the HP Garage interview, Huang wasn't just talking about leather jackets. Perhaps Huang's most shocking statement about the future of Nvidia is that the company, if not the entire industry, will be "completely changed beyond recognition" in the next two years. The reasoning behind this statement is Huang's observation that for the first time in 60 years we are "seeing two technological transformations happening simultaneously."
Those two things are the replacement of general-purpose computing by accelerated computing and the advancement of artificial intelligence. Jenson said that together they will be the catalyst for significant and sustained leaps forward. Because of this important technological synergy, Huang asserts that computing will advance "a millionfold every 10 years."
Huang ended the interview by once again reflecting on how difficult it is to develop and grow a successful company. Earlier this month, Huang told an interviewer that if he could go back 30 years, he would not want to start Nvidia again. "Building Nvidia turned out to be a million times harder than I expected," lamented the founder and CEO. Given the repeated restraint, is he considering stepping down as Nvidia CEO? Only time will tell.
