1. Delta Electronics, a supplier of Apple and Tesla, was attacked by ransomware
Shenzhen Hotline reported on February 10 that Delta Electronics, a supplier of Apple and Tesla, recently issued a statement saying that it had been attacked by a ransomware. It is reported that the attack was related to the Conti ransomware group. Although Delta Electronics claimed that the attack did not affect its core production system, a reporter has obtained a copy of the internal incident report.
The report data shows that 1,500 servers and 12,000 computers of Delta Electronics have been encrypted by attackers, accounting for about 20.8% of the affected devices. The attackers demanded a ransom of US$15 million (about RMB 95.4 million). Since Delta Electronics is currently a mainstream UPS solution provider and supplies power components to companies such as Apple and Tesla, it is not clear whether this attack will affect the product supply of its customers.
Delta Electronics said that the company had discovered the attack at the first time, and its security team intervened, took measures on the infected systems, and began to resume operations. At the same time, the company is working with Trend Micro and Microsoft to minimize the losses. According to IT Home, Delta Electronics' official website has been restored to normal access, but it is not clear whether it has paid the ransom.
2. Xiaomi obtains patent authorization for automatic redialing of telephone
According to Tencent News on February 10, Tianyancha App showed that Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. obtained the patent authorization for "automatic phone redialing method, device and storage medium".
The abstract shows that the present invention solves the technical problem that existing 5G mobile phones cannot automatically redial when the resident network is an SA network. The method includes: when the terminal device is in a call interruption state and the resident network type is an independent network, obtaining the reason value of the call interruption; if it meets the preset abnormal conditions, sending a command to keep the call interface displayed, and obtaining the telephone number of the interrupted call to achieve automatic replay.
3. The demand for LiDAR will increase from 220,000 in 2021 to 21.34 million in 2025

According to the agency's forecast, the global passenger car market demand for LiDAR will increase from 220,000 in 2021 to 21.34 million in 2025, and the penetration rate will increase from 0.2% in 2021 to 14% in 2025, and the market size will increase to 54.1 billion yuan.
4. Hon Hai will launch two electric vehicles this year

The "rolling stop" feature allows the car to drive through an intersection with road signs indicating that it is required to stop in all four directions at a maximum speed of 5.6 miles per hour if there are no nearby vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists. The statements from Western Digital and Kioxia did not give an estimate for when production would resume. Typically, it takes three months for a chip to go from a piece of silicon to a finished component that can be used in electronic devices. Kioxia said the affected product is a new type of chip called 3D flash and that the company "does not expect shipments of its conventional 2D NAND flash memory to be impacted."
9. TuSimple's revenue increased by 178% in Q4 2021
According to Phoenix Technology on February 10, Chinese autonomous driving company TuSimple released its unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter of 2021, with total revenue increasing by 178% year-on-year to US$2 million. Total revenue in 2021 increased by 240% over the previous year to US$6 million. TuSimple's net operating loss in the fourth quarter of last year was US$116 million, and its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were -US$81 million.
Due to continued investment in strategic growth and development activities, operating cash expenditures were $73 million in the fourth quarter of last year and $259 million for the full year 2021. As of the end of 2021, cash reserves exceeded $1.3 billion.
