Cadence Innovus helps Realtek successfully develop DTV SoC solution

Innovus enables larger designs and higher quality results for 28nm SoCs than previous generation solutions

Shanghai, China, May 7, 2018 – Cadence Electronics (Cadence, Inc., NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced that Realtek Semiconductor Corp. will use the Cadence® Innovus™ design implementation system for its latest 28nm The digital television (DTV) system-level chip was developed and taped out successfully, while successfully reducing the chip area and power consumption. In addition to improving the quality of results (QoR), Innovus designs achieve higher system capacity, which can support the implementation of larger top-level modules and reduce the partitioning and complexity of SoC top-level designs.

Realtek urgently needed to deliver a larger and more complex DTV SoC within a tight timeline while meeting strict power consumption and area targets, and Innovus designed and implemented a system that could fully meet its requirements.
