Shanghai, China, August 17, 2021 - Cadence Electronics (Cadence, Inc., NASDAQ: CDNS) and Tower Semiconductor (NASDAQ/TASE: TSEM), a leading foundry of high-value analog semiconductor solutions, today announced that they will launch Silicon-proven SP4T RF SOI switch reference flow . This reference flow applies the Cadence ® Virtuoso ® Design Platform RF solution (Virtuoso RF solution) to provide a faster design convergence path for advanced 5G wireless, wired infrastructure and automotive integrated circuit product development.
This new RF reference design flow leverages a comprehensive set of mixed-signal and RF design, simulation, system analysis and signoff tools that are optimized for Tower's CMOS, BiCMOS, SOI and silicon germanium (SiGe) process technologies . Customers can now use this new product to accelerate RF, mmWave and high-performance analog designs and increase signoff confidence.
Tower's RF and high-performance analog design enablement solutions, PDKs and reference flows complement its own best-in-class process technologies for wireless and wired products, including CS18 and TPS65RS for RF-SOI and SBC18 for SiGe BiCMOS. RF and mmWave IC and packaging co-design has always been a critical issue for Tower customers, and now they can solve it using silicon-proven tools and processes. Customers can design differentiated integrated circuits based on cost and performance optimization.
