Arm launches AI tools on GitHub to simplify the development and deployment of AI applications

Arm is leading the transformation of software development by combining the Arm ^® computing platform with the power of GitHub, the world's largest developer community, and its GitHub Copilot. With Copilot's artificial intelligence (AI) code suggestions, developers can write, test, and optimize code more efficiently on the Arm platform. By integrating Arm tools into GitHub Actions, developers can simplify development tasks across applications, whether cloud-native web applications or AI solutions, while reducing costs and increasing productivity. This collaboration will enable the world's 20 million Arm platform developers to take full advantage of resources from the world's most widely used computing platform and the largest developer community, making development faster, easier, and more efficient.

GitHub Copilot's Arm extension will soon be available on GitHub Marketplace, which will help developers build, test, and deploy software more efficiently, thereby improving productivity and impact. The extension integrates selected data sets and provides tools specifically developed for AI code, including code migration, containerization, CI/CD workflows, and performance optimization to ensure a seamless deployment experience from cloud to edge. The extension is expected to be launched by the end of this year.

Earlier this year, GitHub announced the general availability of Arm64 Linux and Windows Native Arm runners for GitHub Actions, simplifying their development process, reducing costs and increasing speed for customers of GitHub Team and Enterprise cloud plans. In addition, the Arm64 runner also improves the efficiency of AI workflows through popular AI frameworks such as PyTorch.
