According to 36Kr, Whitebox Microelectronics recently completed hundreds of millions of yuan in Series A financing, led by Chinese Academy of Sciences Capital, followed by Xinding Capital, Liansheng Investment, Guoke Development, Panlin Capital, Fengwu Capital, and veteran investors such as Lianhe Investment. Shareholders continue to support. Financing funds are mainly used for order delivery, product research and development, application development and team building. Whitebox (Shanghai) Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2020. Recently, Jiangsu Yuntu Semiconductor Co., Ltd. completed a B1 round of financing worth hundreds of millions of yuan. This round of financing was jointly invested by Diao Microelectronics, Qiandao Fund, and Jingxiang Capital. Up to now, Yuntu Semiconductor has established in-depth cooperative relationships with dozens of OEMs and well-known domestic auto parts manufacturers, achieving more than 300 designated projects and shipping millions of units. In the next 3-5 years, Yuntu Semiconductor will enter a stage of rapid growth. Namei Semiconductor Equipment (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. completed tens of millions of yuan in angel round financing, jointly led by Noyan Capital and Zhongnan Venture Capital. This round of financing will be used for technology research and development, equipment manufacturing and the establishment of the core team. Namei Semiconductor was established in 2022. Its main products are 4-inch, 5-inch, and 6-inch pin-disk probe stations and 8-inch and 12-inch IC probe stations. The probe station is used for CP testing after wafer processing and before packaging process. According to SEMI statistics, probe stations will account for 15.2% of test equipment in 2022.

first vertically integrated semiconductor company in Rudong, Nantong is about to go into production
The first batch of equipment of Rudong Sound Core Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., located in the Pan-Semiconductor Industrial Park in Rudong County, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, entered the site. According to Rudong Daily, this is the first vertically integrated semiconductor company in Rudong County. It is expected to complete equipment debugging in November and enter the trial production stage. The company's operations director said that when the project reaches full production in 2024, it will have a production capacity of 40,000 chips and 6 billion electronic components. The equipment currently entering the market is mainly used for packaging.

Samsung Electronics announced during its third-quarter earnings call that it will expand the supply of cutting-edge memory, including 10nm fourth-generation (1a) and fifth-generation (1b) DRAM memory and seventh- and eighth-generation V-NAND flash memory, etc. without any downregulation. Kim Jae-jun, vice president of Samsung Electronics, said: "Demand for cutting-edge storage, which is crucial for the operation of high-performance products such as generative artificial intelligence (AI), is growing rapidly. Semiconductor’s Fuchuan plant will build the world’s largest silicon carbide production line, with an annual production capacity of 1 million pieces
American power semiconductor manufacturer ON Semiconductor is building the world's largest silicon carbide (SiC) production facility in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It aims to complete equipment installation in 2024 and make Bucheon a global SiC production center. By 2025, the Bucheon plant's annual SiC semiconductor production capacity is expected to reach 1 million pieces, accounting for 35% to 40% of ON Semiconductor's total output. ON Semiconductor recently held a completion ceremony for the S5 production line at its Bucheon factory. The production line is part of ON Semiconductor’s 1.4 trillion won (approximately US$1.04 billion) investment announced in July 2022. At present, some equipment has been introduced into the S5 production line and has begun operation.
