Analog Devices acquires Symeo GmbH, introducing innovative RADAR technology for industrial and automotive markets
Analog Devices (ADI) announced the acquisition of Symeo GmbH, a privately held company based in Munich, Germany, focused on RADAR hardware and software for emerging autonomous vehicles and industrial applications. Symeo’s innovative signal processing algorithms will help Analog Devices provide customers with RADAR platforms with significantly improved angular accuracy and resolution.
With this acquisition, ADI will be able to deliver more comprehensive and competitive RADAR solutions to its customers. The combination of ADI’s industry-leading product portfolio and Symeo’s system and algorithm expertise will result in higher performance RADAR solutions that enable more accurate detection in autonomous systems.

Symeo's unique RF and sensor technologies enable real-time position detection and distance measurement, enabling system integrators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to offer high-precision RADAR solutions for harsh industrial environments, complementing ADI's growing portfolio of market solutions in this space.
Symeo's industrial high-precision RADAR technology was originally developed by Siemens AG (XETRA: SIE) and spun off as an independent entity in 2005 from Siemens Technology Accelerator GmbH (STA).
