During the development of Nios II, the hardware abstraction layer provides a variety of general mode devices, allowing developers to efficiently add and use these devices in the system. However, the use of new devices that do not belong to the general mode class will not be able to develop the system according to the original design method. For this reason, it is necessary to provide a device driver according to the Nios II internal bus specification and integrate it into the hardware abstraction layer according to the requirements of SOPC Builder. By designing and integrating the non-character LCD display module, it is concluded that any non-general mode device can be loaded into the Nios II system and can work normally.
