Another question about KIT3 connection chip [Copy link]

I am using MPLABX V6.20, and the programming error occurred. Is KIT3 broken? How can I solve it? Thank you

As long as the option in MAPLAB is configured to the correct MCU model and configured to burn the program, KIT3 power supply will be fine, and the MCU power supply voltage has nothing to do with it.   Details Published on 2024-10-24 13:01

It should be that PICKIT3 has a weak power supply capability for the target board, which causes the power supply voltage to be pulled down, so that it cannot be burned normally. The solution is to power the target board with an external power supply.

Are you done?

It seems that another power supply should be tried

Check if there is something wrong with the circuit board. KIT3 can burn the program when the circuit board is not powered on, provided that KIT3 is only used for program burning when powered on.

The seller said that the PIC16F877 can only be powered by 3.3V, but I read in the manual that it is 2-5.5V  Details Published on 2024-10-24 11:58
