# Disk Operation## fdisk command> fidsk is a practical tool used to create and maintain disk device partitions. ```bash [ubuntu@book:~]$ fdisk -l //List all disk devices in the current system [ubuntu@book:~]$ fdisk /dev/sdc //Operate a device with device node /dev/sdc. ``` * p: Display all partitions. * d: Delete partition. * n: Create a new partition. * t: Change partition type. * w: Save changes and exit. * m: Display help information. ## gparted > Graphical partition operation tool. ```bash [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo apt install gparted ``` ## mkfs.fat > Format the partition to fat32 type```bash [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo mkfs.fat /dev/sdc1 ``` ## mkfs.ext2/3/4 > Format the file system type to Linux EXT type. ```bash [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdc2 ``` ## mount command > Mount disk partitions or directories outside the system. ```ba [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo mount -t vfat /dev/sdc1 /mnt [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo umont /mnt [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo umont /dev/sdc1 [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo mount -t ext4 /dev/sdc2 /mnt [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo umont /mnt [ubuntu@book:~]$ sudo umont /dev/sdc2 ``` ## df命令> Display the disk usage of the file system on Linux. ```bash [ubuntu@book:~]$ df //Display the disk usage of the file system.
