What is the difference between the effective value and the average value of current in a switching power supply?

In switching power supplies, average current is used to calculate diode losses, while effective current is used to calculate MOS conduction losses. What is the difference between average current and effective current? How to calculate?

Effective value: refers to the voltage equivalent to the effective work of the voltage, which is related to the integral of the voltage. Average value: the average value of each voltage, which is not necessarily equal to the effective power of the voltage   Details Published on 2024-3-26 10:29
