How to add PCB package when making schematic component package?
Import Altium Designer files to CAD: Save the Altium Designer file in dxf or dwg format, and then open it in CAD, but there will be a problem of copper coverage loss.
How to solve the problem of copper coverage loss after importing Altium Designer into CAD: Design-Rules-Design Rules-Electrical-Clearance-Copper coverage rules-Check the value after the constraint is different Nets Only to see if there is any abnormally large value. If so, reduce the value after that and re-copper (this can be modified according to the needs of your own circuit, there is no fixed value, and pay attention to the unit)
Export Altium Designer PCB file to PADS Layout format file: Click the start icon in the lower left corner--select All Programs--Mentor Graphics SDD--PADS 9.5--Translators--PADS Layout Translator--Add the file to be exported--modify the save path--click OK. (The schematic method is similar)
Altium Designer exports complete Gerber files: Before generating Gerber files, you need to set several standards, but for ordinary PCB designers, these are not necessary. The following is a brief explanation of these settings. It is also possible not to use these settings when generating Gerber files.
1. The PCB shape and dimension settings are generally for mechanic 1 and 2 layers.
2. Preprocess the original PCB files before generating Gerber files.
Preprocessing includes:
Increase PCB process edge.
Add stamp holes.
Add machine jack.
Add positioning holes for patches. These positioning holes can also be added in the single board PCB file.
Add drilling description.
Add dimensioning.
Set the origin.
2. Set the origin.
Edit→Origin→Set, and then set the origin at the lower left corner of the board.
3. Export Gerber Files: File--Manufacturing Output--Gerber Files--General Settings (Default)--Layer Settings: Layers used to generate Gerber files (follow the steps below)--Drill Drawing (Default)--Apertures and Advanced (Default)--Confirm--Perform the first output (the generated *.Cam does not need to be saved)
Check Include unconnected mid-layer pads.
Click the Mirror Layers drop-down menu All off to turn off all mirrored layers. In fact, it is turned off by default.
To check that no layers are lost, click the Plot Layers "Plot Layer" drop-down menu Used On to select the used layers, or click the box under Plot with the mouse to select the layers to be exported.
Unselect the mechanical layer on the right (second output).
4. Export drilling files: File--Manufacturing Output--NC Drill Files--Enter the NC Drill Setup interface, the option settings should be consistent with the Gerber Setup advanced option settings--Click the "OK" button, and click the "OK" button in the pop-up "Import Drill Data" input drilling data interface to perform the second output. Generate drilling files.
In addition, it can be said that it is the third output, enter the Gerber Setup again, File-->FabricationOpuputs-->GerberFiles.
1) In the Layer tab, uncheck Include unconnected mid-layer pads.
2) The Mirror Layers drop-down menu All off can turn off all mirrored layers.
3) Click on the Plot Layers drop-down menu All off.
4) Select the mechanical layer mechanic1 of the board.
In the drill drawing file, select plot all used layers pair and uncheck mirror plots.
Click OK to output for the third time.
At this point, the complete Gerber file is generated. There are Gerber files saved in the project directory. Generally, if there is no project file and it is only generated with PCB file, the Gerber file is automatically saved in the folder where the PCB file is located.
When using Altium Designer 17, after using the shortcut key Ctrl+M to measure the dimension, the yellow dimension font cannot be deleted. The solution is: you can delete a certain boundary line, and then the font will disappear, and then go back a little bit.
