Arduino launches new development board GIGA R1 WiFi [Copy link]

The Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi is designed for ambitious makers who want to step up their game. It levels the playing field for gamers, artists, sound designers, and anyone entering the world of tech with a big idea on a budget—because it packs advanced features into an accessible component in the same form factor as our popular Mega and Due.

Microcontroller (STM32H747XI): This dual-core 32-bit microcontroller allows the two cores to communicate with each other (a 480 MHz Cortex-M7 and a 240 MHz Cortex-M4), so you can even run micropython in one and Arduino in the other. Wireless Communication (

Murata 1DX): Whether you prefer Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, the GIGA R1 WiFi has you covered. You can even quickly connect to the Arduino IoT Cloud and track your projects remotely. If you’re concerned about the security of your communications, the ATECC608A keeps things under control.

Hardware ports and communications: Inheriting the tradition of Arduino Mega and Arduino Due, GIGA R1 WiFi has 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), 3 I2C ports (1 more than the previous generation), 2 SPI ports (1 more than the previous generation), and 1 FDCAN.

The disadvantage is that it is too expensive.  Details Published on 2023-3-7 17:36

At this price, there may be few people who will buy it. You can buy an RK3568 development board.

Is this for game development?

I'm still developing game peripherals. It doesn't seem reliable to use stm32 to develop handheld game consoles.

It is also possible to develop handheld game consoles with stm32, the performance is sufficient, and Microsoft's MakeCode Arcade supports the stm32 hardware solution.

Does it still support the old interface? It looks like the female header is not right.
