The lively intelligent driving chip track has once again welcomed a new player.
On October 17, Huixi Intelligent officially released its first high-performance intelligent driving chip, Guangzhi R1, at the 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference (WICV), providing new computing power support for the future development of AI application scenarios such as high-level intelligent driving and embodied intelligence.
It is understood that Huixi Intelligent Light R1 is designed for automotive applications, has passed strict automotive certification, and complies with ASIL-D and EVITA Full standards. The chip uses a 7nm automotive-grade manufacturing process, integrates up to 45 billion transistors, has an 8-core SIMT architecture, and has 24 built-in Arm Cortex-A78AE cores, which can provide more than 500 TOPS of deep learning computing power and more than 420kDMIPS of CPU computing power, and can natively adapt to large Transformer models.

With the self-developed Turing complete instruction set, Guangzhi R1 can achieve field versatility, solve the adaptation and upgrade problems encountered by automotive customers in the development of intelligent driving, and match it with an efficient AI tool chain, greatly shortening algorithm deployment and system integration time.
At the same time, Huixi Intelligent also launched RINA, a high-level urban mapless autonomous driving reference solution, for autonomous driving applications. It is understood that this solution does not need to rely on high-precision maps, achieves 60% computing power margin, reduces 40% of the cost at the overall system level, and can help customers complete model migration within 30 days and achieve mass production and delivery of high-level autonomous driving projects within 12 months.
Huixi Intelligence was co-founded by Xu Ningyi, Zhang Jianyong and He Guanghui. Zhang Jianyong was previously the AVP of autonomous driving at NIO. He was the person in charge of the development of the first generation of automatic assisted driving functions and the person in charge of the second generation of autonomous driving system platform engineering at NIO. The company aims at mass production of high-end intelligent driving functions represented by urban NOA, pioneered the technical concept of "data closed loop defines chip", realized the collaborative design of chips, algorithms and systems, and helped build China's FSD.
According to Huixi Intelligent's previous plan, after the official launch of the Guangzhi R1, models equipped with Huixi Intelligent Urban NOA solution will also be invited to customers and partners for evaluation and experience in the fourth quarter, and will be officially put into mass production next year.
