I used 2596-5 before. According to the manual, there is no problem with 24 volts. I tested 12 volts first and found no problem, so I changed to 24 volts. As a result, it exploded directly, and the subsequent expensive sensors were also burned. It was painful.

Later I saw others using it and it worked fine. Thinking back carefully, I may have chosen the wrong inductor.

When designing some compact instruments, each circuit is connected and fixed by solder pads. I feel like a carpenter drawing a circuit board with mortise and tenon joints. There are also many gaps on the circuit board to fix it to the plastic shell with bayonet. When installing the device, I have to consider whether the height of the components on the opposite circuit board interferes. I also have to worry about whether the test points and adjustment points can be conveniently tested and debugged. When making a product, I don’t talk about the function realization, but just draw the circuit board, and polish the vernier caliper to a bright shine.

Hahaha, I got into a trap. I was testing an inverter cabinet at the time. The cabinet was 48V DC and powered 1,000 sets. I had just finished the test. The test team had something to do, so I came back and happened to test a 24V inverter cabinet. As you can guess, the powered capacitors exploded. Three of them were very loud, and they exploded one by one.

When repairing the PLC cabinet, it took half a day to check and it would not start up. The reason was that the switching power supply was 24 volts, and one of the outputs was 110 volts DC, causing the back-stage protection. The repair measure was to replace the switching power supply, or connect two 24 volts DC in parallel to power the PLC.

My headshot was taken when I was repairing a children's video car.


The cause of the fault was found, the SRC relay was burned out and had been repaired.


The machine will not boot up if it is not installed after removal. Install it and boot up.


Later it stopped moving because the motor circuit was worn out, and it was fixed by replacing the circuit.

I have never made a particularly large circuit board, so my experience is very simple. First, make a plan for alternative chip selection. Second, consider the openings and gaps for three repairs. Third, isolate the analog and digital circuits, power supplies, inductors, MOS, and high-power devices. Fourth, define the interchangeable solder joints and short circuits for user products. Fifth, leave enough deformation margin for chips and capacitors in high and low temperature conditions. PCBs require carefulness when they are boring and calmness when they are enjoyable.
