SIMterix-Simplis~11~ Hierarchical Design

When the circuit reaches a certain scale, it must be designed in a hierarchical manner. Components should be reused as much as possible to improve efficiency. Even copying and pasting hierarchical design is much simpler. In this case, let's learn how to build a circuit from the bottom up. After drawing the circuit diagram and verifying it, you can turn it into a module and connect the required pins to the module port. Figure 1 shows how to place the module pins, and Figure 2 shows the module circuit.

All functional tests have passed. For details, please refer to SS user manual 6.2 Hierarchical Schematic Entry and start reading.

in conclusion

Hierarchical design allows for easy reuse of previously developed circuit modules, which is very useful for system-level design. Updates to a single module do not affect the operation of the entire system. Verification can begin directly after defining interface functions and interface properties. The number of modules verified by each person is relatively limited, so teamwork greatly improves work efficiency.
